The Five Cities Dog Park Association will be hosting our 4th annual “Puttin’ on the Dog” event on Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Save the date today for this family-friendly event, our major fundraiser for Elm Street Dog Park.

Enjoy free contests for you and your dog to enter, dog-related demonstrations, a barbecue lunch, raffle, food vendors, and many pet-related vendors and services (e.g., adoptions, nail trimming, pet sitters, supplies, training, and boarding).

By popular demand, we are bringing back our free do-it-yourself “DogLympics” obstacle course for dogs and owners of all ages and sizes. This year, we have added a Best Fetch and Musical Sit contests along with our Cutest Dog (Large and Small) and Best Dressed Dog/Owner-Dog Look-Alike contests for you to enjoy with your dog. New this year, Faces by Gina will be offering animal face painting for kids of all ages.

We are still seeking sponsors, vendors, and raffle prizes for this year’s event. For details, download our sponsor form or vendor form from our website at www.fivecitiesdogpark.org. Anyone interested in volunteering to help with this year’s event should contact POD Co-Chairs Jerry Bunin (jbunin@charter.net, 805.550.5334) or Mary Shaffer (mshaffer@calpoly.edu, 805.440.4652).
