New Kennedy Club Fitness Blog

Feeling guilty for having a stop-and-go commitment to exercise that tends to be more stop than go? Let go of that guilt! You are among good company – we’ve all faced challenges with time commitments and obligations that may cause detours in exercise routines. Did you know that exercising one day a week has value? Exercise twice a week, and you will achieve 75% of the benefits from a 3 or more day a week program.

If you have 30 minutes to spare, we have just the workout for you – Nautilus circuit training. As part of your Kennedy Club Fitness membership, one of our certified personal trainers will take you through the Nautilus circuit training and tailor a program to fit your individual needs. If you’ve had an appointment with a trainer in the past but find you need an updated program, let us know – we would be happy to guide you along the path of daily fitness!

Nautilus Circuit Training

Nautilus is a favorite in all of the Kennedy Club locations and the reason is simple – it provides optimal circuit training using different exercises in a quick, steady and simple progression for a full-body workout. Initially created for rehabilitation, this safe work out saves you valuable time and gives you quick results.

Everyone has time for Nautilus

For some Kennedy Club members, Nautilus circuit training takes 20 minutes and others, 30 minutes or so. Members use the Nautilus machines – about 9-12 pieces of equipment – in a set order to target a rotating set of muscles; arms, legs, etc. with brief resting periods in between.

Is it a total body workout?

With the alternating work stations, each KCF member using the Nautilus circuit training equipment will work the upper and lower body – and everything in between! Everyone has their favorite machine, but it is important to utilize the full circuit in order to have a total body workout. Although some may think they only need to use the abdominal equipment, for the overall benefit of the body it’s important to do it all – leg extensions, chest presses, biceps, triceps – and, remember, it only takes 20-30 minutes!

Does it really work?

If what you’re looking for is an improvement in overall muscle strength, flexibility, cardiovascular benefits, weight loss or gain, and an exercise routine that fits into your busy life, then yes, Nautilus circuit training works! Let the certified personal trainers at any one of our Kennedy Club Fitness locations show you how Nautilus can work for you.
