Vincent Shay and Emily Stern of SLO Coast Kayaks & Stand Up Paddling in Avila Beach believe in giving back to the Central Coast, the community where they have lived for over twenty-five years. They have hit upon a novel way of accomplishing this while still being able to run a successful kayak and SUP rental and touring company.
The 4th Annual Tour of Paso Bike Tour, which benefits The Wellness Community of the Central Coast, starts at 8:30 am this coming Saturday, April 21, 2012. Each rider who is participating has raised at least $200 in pledges for The Wellness Community. Following the 35-mile or 7-mile ride, a BBQ Extravaganza and Awards Ceremony will be held at Niner Wine Estates. BBQ is free for riders and children, and additional tickets can be purchased for $25.

Sunset SAVOR the Central Coast launches new charity run and expanded adventure tours
Leveraging our region’s active outdoor lifestyle, the organizers of Sunset SAVOR the Central Coast recently announced they will launch a new SAVOR Run and expanded adventure tours in San Luis Obispo County during the four-day event Sept. 26-29.
Gymnazo and Lose It For Life opened a new facility this month in San Luis Obispo to provide the local community with a fitness facility dedicated to transformational fitness and a health-oriented community. Both organizations provide health and fitness services looking to keep the community fit, functional and to assist in weight loss.
